Joseph Maroun Senior / President
Joseph is a Lebanese born immigrant to the United States. He is a
graduate of the Pittsburg School of Aeronautical Engineering and an
Entrepreneur. He moved to the United States when he was 17 to study
Aeronautics. We worked with Pan Am in the 60's and 70's until making
a switch to the baking business in 1975. He currently resides with
his wife Carmen in Northern California where he is surrounded by his
close friends and family. Joseph Sr. truly emulates the ideals of
the American dream and has helped many of his family and friends to
share in that dream. He now works with several philanthropic groups
around the world and sits as a board member of the Lebanese American
University in Beirut, Lebanon.
Carmen Maroun / Secretary
Carmen is an American Lebanese and was born and raised in the
Mid-West. She met Joseph Sr. while he was attending school in
Pittsburg and was married shortly there-after. She moved to the Bay
Area with Joseph and started a family and had two wonderful sons,
Joseph Jr. and Will. Self-taught, she was instrumental in the
start-up and operation of the bakery with Joseph Sr. doing all the
book-keeping and accounting work. She is the matriarch and back-bone
of our business. She too is involved in philanthropic work, doing
volunteer work for organizations in the Bay Area.
