Q. What varieties of bakery products does Caravan produce?
A. Caravan produces a wide variety of products including bagels, pita bread, pound cakes, cornbreads, brownies, iced cakes, Hispanic pastries, extended shelf life products including Combat Rations for the military and a full line of frozen laminated doughs including, croissants filled and unfilled, Danish, strudel products, cinnamon rolls plus, Puff Pastry blocks, sheets and squares.

FUN FACT: Caravan produces over 54,000 bagels per hour.

A. Yes, Caravan is AIB inspected and received an excellent rating on its most recent inspection.
 

Q. Does Caravan have the capability to assist with customers' product development needs?
A. Caravan does have the technical capability to help develop new items. Over the last several years, Caravan's Food Scientists have developed new products not only for retailers but also Combat Rations items for the US military.
 

Q. Does Caravan have in-house QA and HAACP programs in place to assure optimum product quality?
A. Caravan has a fully staffed QA department. The department assures compliance with all QA requirements established for all items the company produces.
 

Q. How large is the Caravan Manufacturing Plant?
A. Caravan's manufacturing facility is 110,000 square feet which includes over 10,000 square feet of freezer space.
 

Q. Does Caravan have the capability to do Trans-Fat-Free Products?
A. Caravan has developed and manufactures trans-fat-free products including pound cakes, muffins, cakes, and a full line of TFF laminated dough products.

A. Caravan has over 250 employees and is one of the largest employers in Union City, California where the plant is located.
